Hi, I’m Just Lydie – aka Lydie

… The baby of the bunch.

My love for Pole started during my 2nd year of university in 2008 when I joined the Aerial & Pole Society to meet new people, and bring back the health and fitness in my life that had disappeared when uni social life and weight gain entered.

I learnt the art of both static and spinny Pole, along with Trapeze, Hoop, Silks and the Rope. In 2009, I became the Social Secretary of the uni Pole society called The Derby Uni Treefrogs; where I organised and performed at events.

From a young age, I’ve enjoyed gymnastics, dance and drama; and studied GCSE and A Level Drama and Dance. At university, I studied Creative Expressive Therapies.

For me, Drama, Dance and Pole are great ways to express your inner self. Pole is fantastic, and fun way to keep fit and healthy; it is also excellent for your wellbeing and confidence.

After graduating, I moved back to West Sussex and was desperate to find a Pole School – by then, I was hooked on the benefits! Princess K and her Pole Dolls welcomed me with open arms in summer 2011, and I started my Instructor Training in 2014.

I did my first public performance this February at a charity event – it was great to plan a Routine and I loved every minute of showcasing my favourite hobby. Check out the video on our Events (Past) page.

By day, I’m a barista, rushing around, whilst saving my pennies to study midwifery but, by night ….

I am Just Lydie, the youngster of the PKF team who likes to bring some artistic flare, elegance and flow back into her everyday life – join me soon for some Pole fun!
